Training will cover a program overview, effective ways to “mother the mother” through physical and emotional support, baby basics, and volunteer self care. This training will prepare you to: Assist mothers in transitioning to this new chapter of family life with a newbornEncourage family members in welcoming the newborn and adjusting to the new family structureSupport mothers through a non-judgmental presence, validating her new challengesFocus on the mothers’ needs so she may enjoy well deserved respite.

Join the Many Mothers staff and other volunteers for a monthly meetup. This is a time to share stories about your matches, check in with staff and have fun getting to know each other better. This month we will also be honoring our volunteers who have recently retired and present gifts to our whole volunteer team!

Through Many Mothers, we would like to revamp our "New Mom's Group" to "New Caregivers" group. Our ongoing meet-up will be Wednesdays from 10:00-12:00a.m. This space is open for anyone who is a new primary caregiver, regardless if you are affiliated with Many Mothers. The purpose of this group is to connect, hold space for one another, and to strengthen the new caregiver network within Santa Fe. You may come and go as you please. We can meet at Reunity Resources, located at 1829 San Ysidro Crossing, 87507. You can park when you first pull in on the far side of the gardens, then walk up towards the house and buildings.
