My name is Monica Gonzales, and for the past three and a half years, I have had the privilege of serving as the Bilingual Program Coordinator and Home Visitor here at Many Mothers. My work is dedicated to supporting our monolingual Spanish-speaking families, driven by a deep belief that no one should ever have to walk the path of parenthood alone.
This mission is deeply personal to me. Seven years ago, following the birth of my first daughter, I struggled with postpartum depression. I know firsthand how challenging, overwhelming, and isolating those early stages of parenthood can be. Because of that experience, I hate to see any family suffer or navigate these struggles in isolation. Today, I am deeply passionate about providing that vital circle of support, ensuring our families have someone to lean on, especially for those without loved ones nearby.
Why I Love What I Do: A Generational Legacy
My passion for this work also stems from my own roots. I hold a deep belief that somewhere, at some point, someone gave my own mother a chance or a helping hand when she needed it most. That kindness shaped our lives, and it inspires the love I put into supporting families today. I truly believe that if a parent is cared for, they are empowered to take care of their children. When we support a parent today, we are raising a child who will grow up to be that next important someone in our community – someone who will pass it forward and provide support to others.
Connect with Us: Weekly Groups & Classes
In the spirit of building community, I am thrilled to invite our families to join us for our weekly gatherings. We have two distinct spaces designed to support you and your little ones:
- Find Your Village Group (Thursdays, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM): This is the group to connect! It is a designated weekly space for parents and caregivers to come together, have a chance to chat with someone, and build friendships while your babies play together. Come find a community that understands the parenting journey.
- Zumbini Class (Starts Wednesday, September 16, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM): Designed for ages 0–4 and their caregivers, Zumbini combines music, dance, and educational tools for endless fun and growth! This offers the perfect time to be present in movement and joy right before nap time.
I look forward to welcoming you and your little ones into these joyful spaces!
