Training will cover a program overview, effective ways to “mother the mother” through physical and emotional support, baby basics, and volunteer self care. This training will prepare you to: Assist families in transitioning to this new chapter of family life with a newborn Encourage family members in welcoming the newborn and adjusting to the new family structure Support parents through a non-judgmental presence, validating her new challenges Focus on the caregivers’ needs so she may enjoy well deserved respite.
